English pacer James Anderson has revealed that the Australian team did not share a post-match drink with the host side after their thrashing in the first Ashes Test.
Anderson confirmed that Australian skipper Michael Clarke rejected Alastair Cook's invitation for a beer at Cardiff, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
He further said that England and New Zealand had shared drinks after their Test series this summer and Cook was eager to reach out to Australia in the same way.
Australia, who went into this series as clear favourites, were comprehensively outplayed in their 169-run defeat at Cardiff, their loss all the more galling because it came with more than a day to spare.
