Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel on Wednesday accepted the demand to summon Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) chief P.D. Sudhakar to the assembly after the MLAs alleged irregularity by discoms.
Earlier in the day, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) demanded summoning of the DERC chairman to answer questions on the performance of discoms.
Tampered meters and inflated bills were the primary issues taken up in the assembly.
Goel, however, earlier in the day said that tampered meters needed to be checked by independent experts and not the discoms.
