The Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday said that the upcoming seventh edition of the Delhi Dialogue between India and the ASEAN countries will have a dedicated session for business leaders and academics.
"In this year's edition, we will have a dedicated Business Session with panel discussions on 'ASEAN Economic Community: Benefits for the ASEAN and Indian Industry', with focus on 'Make in India' campaign of Government of India and 'Trade in Services as driver for future economic cooperation: Views from India and ASEAN'. There is an impressive lineup for participating in the Business Session, including business delegates from India and ASEAN countries," MEA Secretary (East) Anil Wadhwa told the media.
"The Academic Session will cover a wide range of discussions on subjects such as maritime security, cyber security, skill development, building knowledge society and economy, cultural linkages, integration of regional production networks and value chains, infrastructure and energy and the way forward for ASEAN-India relations. The focus of all these issues is on strengthening the ASEAN-India Strategic Partnership in the long run," he added.
The Delhi Dialogue VII, which will start on March 11, will see Thailand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister; Cambodia Minister of Education, Indonesia Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Myanmar Deputy Foreign Minister and ASEAN Deputy Secretary General attend.
