Former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Sunday said incidents like the Anand Parbat stabbing reflected a flaw in the system and added that politicizing the issue or indulging in a blame game won't help in finding a solution.

"There is a flaw in the system due to which they are not being able to handle the issue, blaming each other and politicizing the issue won't get a solution, we can get the solution only when we'll implement a commission in the police and we should train them on how to act on such cases and how to respond to such cases," Dikshit told ANI here.

"We should implement the use of gadgets such as CCTV's, drones. through which we can curb crimes, this modernisation cannot be achieved through politics, we should thoroughly study the issues and should upgrade the system," she added.

A 19-year-old girl was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by two brothers living in her neighbourhood for protesting against their verbal abuse on July 16.

The Delhi government has ordered a magisterial probe into the incident while Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also summoned city police Commissioner B. S. Bassi on Monday.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal, accompanied by his deputy Manish Sisodia, visited the victim's family yesterday and assured them of all possible help.
