In a bid to provide relief to school children from scorching heat, the Delhi Government has ordered all schools to advance the beginning of their summer vacation.
State's the education department has issued an order, making it mandatory for all schools to start vacations from may 11.
The order said the decision was taken in view of the searing heat and predictions of temperature rising further.
The national capital yesterday witnessed the hottest day of the season with mercury soaring to 44 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season's average.
