Asserting that people want to be governed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan while expressing confidence of the AAP's rout in the civic polls today stated that the people of Delhi have a clear choice in front of them.

Vardhan said that people of the national capital will vote for the BJP as the progress of Delhi begins from the MCD.

"The people of Delhi want to be governed by the BJP, which is led by Prime Minister Modi, who is leaving no stone unturned in developing the nation on all fronts," said Vardhan.

"If Delhi wants to progress then the beginning has to be done through the MCD. However, I am sure that people of Delhi will vote for Modi ji and the BJP. The BJP has done a good job in its past tenure. The real face of the AAP has also been exposed now. So, the people of Delhi have clear choice in front of them," he added.

Denouncing the AAP, BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi echoing similar sentiments urged Delhi to vote for the development of the city and the country.

"The people of Delhi have seen the misgovernance of the AAP in the last two and a half years. The AAP will face the same result that they faced in Goa and Punjab," said Lekhi.

"The people of Delhi will vote for the BJP. The people, who want change will vote for the BJP because there is only one party which thinks for national interest and that is the BJP," said Verma.
