The Delhi High Court on Tuesday extended a ban on the student protests conducted near the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.
The court has restrained the students from protesting within 100 meters of admin block of the university until March 9.
Earlier on February 15, a group of JNU students violated the court order by allegedly blocking the entry of the administration block demanding a meeting with the Vice-chancellor Dinesh Kumar against the compulsory attendance system imposed on the university students.
The Delhi High Court then issued a notice to the university office bearers on a plea seeking action against certain students who took part in the protests and sought a reply by February 20.
The next date for hearing of the case is March 9.
