Two days after Dhruv Raj Tyagi, a man who was stabbed to death for objecting to lewd remarks against his daughter in Delhi's Moti Nagar area, the victim's daughter alleged that the accused were drunk and the family of one of the accused encouraged him to carry out the violence.
"There are so many gangs in this area where they carry out all sort of misdeeds. Even the person who stabbed my father was drunk that day and his family encouraged him to carry out violence by passing a knife to him," she said.
While expressing her resentment, she said that the area is quite unsafe for the women in the night as the men in the area gang up to abuse women.
Describing the incident, she said, "My father and I were returning from the hospital when a boy made lewd gestures. My father went back to complain to the boy's family. Later, a fight broke out and my father was stabbed."
The incident took place on Sunday night in Moti Nagar area of the national capital. Victim's son was also attacked and is undergoing medical treatment.
All four accused in the case were arrested by the police.
