Delhi Police on Friday detained students protesting outside Rail Bhawan over a demand for the cancellation of CSAT exams.

One of the UPSC aspirants protesting outside Rail Bhawan said, "We will protest peacefully, but won't end the protest until our demand to cancel the CSAT exam is fulfilled."

Expressing support for Hindi medium students, Digvijaya Singh said, "The matter is very serious and the central government should also take it that way."

"Congress is ready to fight for them (UPSC aspirants) both inside and outside the Parliament.

I am with those students who have come from Hindi medium.

Quality should not be compromised too," he added.

Congress leader Pramod Tiwari blamed the Prime Minister by saying, "Government said that papers won't take place till the time changes take place. And then it went against their own promise by issuing the admit cards."

"When the students protested against it, they were lathi charged. The complete responsibility is on Modi." He added.

After some of the students were detained, a scuffle broke out between the students and the police as they were boarding a police bus.

The students argue that the questions asked in language comprehension skills are asked in English and no Hindi translations are provided. They want this to be changed.
