Delhi's International Bazaar is promoting Kazakh cuisine and that country's traditional souvenirs
On Monday, Embassy of Kazakhstan staff and their families took part in the popular event that was first initiated by the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association in 1952 with the objective of promoting cultural interaction among women of various countries living in the Indian capital.
This year, over 50 countries have been represented in the annual fair including Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Slovak, Czech, China, Cuba, Pakistan, Australia, Egypt, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey Ireland, Vietnam and many others.
The Kazakh pavilion as always attracted not only Indian visitors, but foreign guests, diplomats and representatives of foreign companies as well.
Guests were treated to popular Kazakh dishes like plov, kuyrdak, samosa and a variety of traditional sweets and candies.
The profit earned from sales at the Kazakh pavilion was handed over to the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association.
