Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday got a taste of his own medicine after a man, who was refused medical assistance by a government hospital, chose to stage a sit-down protest outside the former's residence.

The man demanded medical assistance from Kejriwal, who is famous for holding frequent dharnas and protests, saying that he did not want to lose his leg which needed immediate medical attention to avoid an amputation.

"I want medical assistance. I don't want to lose my leg. I have been sitting here for two hours. I will meet him (Kejriwal) and complain about what kinds of problems the poor are facing," he said.

"I had gone to Arvind hospital on Sunday seeking treatment for my leg, but was refused any medical assistance. Later, the doctor prescribed me some medicines and asked me to get them from a private hospital," he added.

The chief minister, however, was unavailable for a comment on the matter.
