Former NBA star Dennis Rodman is visiting North Korea to meet his friend Kim Jong Un.

Rodman is heading to North Korea for the second time this year, ABC News reports.

He said that he was visiting North Korea to meet his friend, Kim, which was a friendly gesture.

Rodman denied that his trip was due to set free jailed American missionary Kenneth Bae, the report added.

Bae is currently serving a 15-year sentence of hard labor in North Korea for attempting to overthrow the communist government.
