India stand-in captain Virat Kohli said that he has no regrets after incurring 48 runs defeat at the hands of Australians in the first Test match at Adelaide Oval.

Kohli said that he was pleased and had no regrets with the way they played as their intention was indeed to chase down the target. He further said that if he and opener Murali Vijay had contributed 40 more runs to the scoreboard, the result would have been different.

Kohli scored his second consecutive century, amassing 141 runs before he was caught out by Marsh on Nathan Lyon's delivery. He also said that he was trying to hit more in front of square, adding that it was one of the mistakes he would look back in the future.

Congratulating Australia over their thrilling victory, he said that Australia played better and praised them for their participation in the Test following the tragic demise of late cricketer Phillip Hughes.
