India's rising boxing talent Devendro Singh secured a berth in the October World Championships after advancing to the semi-finals of the Asian Championships on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old produced a perfect blend of control and precision to defeat his Indonesian opponent Cornelis Kwangu Langu 3-0 in his quarterfinal bout.
Devendro will next face top seeded Uzbek fighter Hasanboy Dusmatov to book a place for the summit clash.
The World Championships will act as the first qualifying event for next year's Rio Olympics.
