Brit-Indian honeymoon murder-suspect Shrien Dewani is reportedly going to be extradited to South Africa to face trial over the death of his wife Anni.

Earlier this month, Dewani lost his three-year battle to block extradition to South Africa and is now expected to appear in court on April 8th, the same day he arrives in the country.

According to Daily Star, Dewani will now face charges over the murder of Anni, who was found shot dead in an abandoned taxi in Cape Town's Gugulethu township in November 2010.

Although, Dewani has denied the charges and his lawyers argue that he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, and is too ill to stand trial; three judges in the High Court have rejected further appeals in British courts against his extradition.

Dewani has been charged of orchestrating his new wife's murder by paying the hijackers who later shot dead Anni in the back of their taxi after Dewani had been ejected from the vehicle.

The report said that three men in South Africa have been convicted over Anni's death, including the taxi driver Zola Tongo, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

As part of the extradition agreement, the South African authorities have agreed that Dewani could return to the UK within 18 months of his arrival if he is not fit enough to stand trial, the report added.
