A Dhaka court on Monday fixed August 10 as the next date of hearing for graft-related cases linked to former prime minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Begum Khaleda Zia.
According to the Daily Star, a hearing is taking place on two graft cases linked to Khaleda Zia.
Special Judge Abu Ahmed Jomadar of Court Number Three fixed the new date of hearing after recording statements on cross-examination of the complainant.
Khaleda today appeared before the court during hearing in the Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases around 10.30 a.m. local time.
Khaleda Zia left the court around 1.15 p.m. local time.
She had last appeared before the court on July 23.

The Zia Orphanage case relates to Khaleda Zia, her son Tarique and four others embezzling Taka 2.1 crore by forming the charity that exists only on paper.
The other case relates to the BNP chief and three others collecting Taka 6.19 crore for Zia Charitable Trust between 1991 and 1996 when the BNP was in power.
The Anti-Corruption Commission filed both the cases.
