Dhoni says will be 'lost' without 'constant' Tendulkar following Little Master's retirement

Indian captain MS Dhoni has admitted that he would not know what to do with himself after batting maestro and his confidante Sachin Tendulkar retires from international cricket next month.

Tendulkar, who will draw the curtain on his iconic career when he chalks up his 200th Test match in a two-match home series against the West Indies next month, has reportedly been a constant during Dhoni's entire history with cricket, including his elevation to the top of the Indian game.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Dhoni, who was just eight years old when Tendulkar made his Test debut in 1989, admitted that his life would not be the same without the Little Master to look for advice, adding that the retirement of Tendulkar will mark the end of an era.

Although Dhoni also admitted that he never wanted to see Tendulkar retire, he however, said that he is glad that the iconic batsman was able to make the decision by himself rather than facing an humiliating axing from the team

Hailing Tendulkar for maintaining his stellar standards for lengthy periods and under the intensive pressure of the public gaze, the wicketkeeper-batsman also said that if a player is a top batsman for his side for a considerable period of time, his performance is scrutinised by everyone.

Dhoni further said that he believes that Tendulkar had to deal with plenty of other things apart from cricket, which he added, was his passion.
