Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that Angel Di Maria did not catch his flight to the U.S. to join his teammates for the pre-season tour party.
However, Van Gaal claimed that he doesn't know why he failed to board the flight, the BBC reported.
After United's 3-1 pre-season win over Barcelona, he said that Di Maria was not on the plane.
According to a French sports magazine, the Argentine international, who has been in the eyes of the French giants, was set to join the club in the coming days after United accepted 46 million pounds offer from Paris-Saint Germain (PSG).
However, it has now been claimed that the 27-year-old, who joined United last summer for a British record 59.7million pounds, will travel to New Jersey for a medical with the French club.
