Experts have stated that diabetes crisis in Britain can cripple the National Health Service (NHS) as there is a huge increase in the number of sufferers.
There is an increase of 60 percent of diabetics compared to the last decade and almost four million adults in Britain are suffering from the disease, the Daily Express reported.
Campaigners have urged people to take more personal responsibility and exercise more, adding that the disease could spell financial ruin for the healthcare system.
According to the Diabetes UK, there has been an increase in numbers across both types, with unhealthy lifestyles blamed for the rise in Type 2.
