A Congress party leader, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Tuesday labeled Prime Minister Narendra Modi a dictator who was unwilling to be accountable to anyone.

"This is completely unbelievable. He does not want to make a comment in Parliament. He is becoming more and more like a dictator," Rao told ANI.

He said the Prime Minister has no respect for parliamentary procedure, the Constitution, the judiciary or the media.

Escalating his diatribe, Rao said if Prime Minister Modi could comment on demonetisation in Japan, Goa, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh, what prevented him from doing so in parliament?

"Unfortunately, he (Prime Minister Modi) doesn't seem to be interested in attending Parliament and talking to his fellow Members of Parliament that what was his reason, why he did this, the logic and try to convince the members," said Rao.
