Backing the Madhya Pradesh government's move to constitute a judicial inquiry instead of handing over the case to the National Investigative Agency (NIA), state Home Minister Bhupinder Singh on Friday said the committee has been formed transparently.

"Judicial enquiry is considered to be the strongest enquiry committee. It is transparent, so it is difficult to question its integrity. Hence, keeping this in mind the government announced the judicial enquiry," Singh told ANI.

Singh said that the Justice S.K.Pande-led commission has been asked to recommendthe state what measures are to be taken to increase the jail's security.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan yesterday, ordered a judicial probe into the jail-break incident by eight SIMI activists from the Bhopal Central Jail and their subsequent alleged encounter.
