Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Sunday defended businessman and Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, saying he is amazed by the media attention given to a minor incident involving the latter.
"I am amazed by the Media attention given to a minor incident involving Robert Vadhra. Why a private Citizen being unnecessarily hounded?" Singh wrote on twitter.
"If he has violated any Law Prosecute him. If has ill gotten wealth confiscate it, but this unnecessary media attention is not justified," he added.
The Congress leader further said: "We Politicians are feeling jealous of the Media Attention which Robert is getting. We are the real Punching Bags for you. Spare him!"
Meanwhile, Congress president Sonia Gandhi met Vadra at his residence today.
Earlier on Saturday, Vadra lost his temper and pushed an ANI reporter's mic away, when asked a question about his land deals in Haryana.

"Are you serious? Are you serious? Are you nuts? What is wrong with you," Vadra kept asking repeatedly.
Vadra and his security guards also threatened the reporter and asked him to turn off his camera at a private event held at the Ashoka Hotel.
