Veteran actor Dilip Kumar had a great reason to celebrate his birthday on Thursday, as he was discharged after spending the last six days in hospital for bronchopneumonia.
"He is better now as he doesn't have fever anymore. He had cough and fever but he is fine now," said pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar
The actor, who turned 92, had been admitted to Lilawati Hospital last Saturday.
Dr. Parkar had on Wednesday confirmed that the actor was recovering well.
He had then said that the actor could remain in hospital for two or three more days, and that he was still on antibiotics.
Dr. Parkar further said that laboratory investigations conducted on the actor had shown significant improvement in his health and that he was doing well clinically.
