India on Sunday came out strong to reclaim the Asian Champions Trophy defeating arch rival Pakistan 3-2 in the regulation time in the summit clash here.
It was Rupinder Pal Singh who opened the Indian account in the 18th minute by converting a penalty corner to hand his side with the lead.
Five minutes later, Yousuf Affan capped off a wonderful play that involved Sardar Singh to double the lead.
However, in the third quarter of the game, Pakistan cut down the lead to 2-1.
Through Ali Shaan, Pakistan equalised in the 38th minute but India's Nikkin struck a terrific goal in the final quarter to score the winner.
India had won the inaugural edition in 2011 but finished runners-up to Pakistan in the second edition in 2012.
