World number one Novak Djokovic has bagged his second Monte Carlo title after a three-set win over his Czech opponent Tomas Berdych on Sunday night.
The Serbian overcame Berdych 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 in a hard fought thriller that lasted two hours and 43 minutes.
With the win, Djokovic became the first man to win the opening three Masters events of the season (Indian Wells, Miami Open).
Eyeing to complete the career Grand Slam at the French Open, Djokovic said that the most important period of the year is coming up right now, adding that Roland Garros and Wimbledon are the priority, insisting that is where he wants to perform his best, the BBC reported.
The eight-time Grand Slam champion, who has extended his winning run to 17 matches in 2015, also said the fact that he is the first man to win three Masters in a row has given him more motivation to excel in the forthcoming events.
