Serbian tennis ace Novak Djokovic has donated the entire prize money from his Italian Open title to his foundation in order to help food-relief efforts in his country.

Djokovic, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, won his third title in Rome after defeating World No. 1 Rafael Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.

According to the Washington Post, the tennis star drew a heart on the clay with his racket and dedicated the win to his native land Serbia.

Djokovic said that the heart on the court is for the fans, and is also a special dedication to his country, which is suffering a lot right now.

Djkovic, whose Italian Opening winnings are worth 7,49,934 pounds, said that his heart is with the people suffering in Serbia.

Historic floods in Serbia and Bosnia last week has reportedly claimed at least 44 deaths and recovery is expected to cost several billion dollars.

Apart from Djokovic's 7,49,934 pounds, the Serb's foundation's website has revealed that 6,00,000 dollars have also been raised for the reconstruction of schools in Serbia, the report added.
