World number one Novak Djokovic eased past his opponent Andreas Haider-Maurer in straight sets to reach the third round of the US Open.
The Serbian claimed 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 win over Haider-Maurer. Djokovic will now meet Andreas Seppi of Italy.
Meanwhile, eight-seeded Rafael Nadal also advanced to the next round as he brushed aside Argentine opponent Diego Schwartzman 7-6(7-5), 6-3,7-5 to set up a third round clash with Italy's Fabio Fognini.
