Standing as a role model for several Kashmiris aspiring for a career in acting, TV actress Prerna Bhatt has urged the youth to follow their heart and asked the parents to support their children in whatever career they want to pursue.
"Especially to parents, I would like to convey a message that they should support their children for their career because sometimes parents are not able to understand. I want to say that do your best, do differently and raise the name of Jammu and Kashmir and do whatever you want to do," said the Kashmiri actress.
Prerna, who made her debut in the industry three years back, has appeared in several television serials like 'Pyaar ka dard meeta meetha', 'CID' and 'Savdhan India.'
She has also worked in a couple of Bollywood films, including 'Grand Masti', 'Singh Saab the great' and 'Future toh bright hai ji'.
She began her career as a dancer and has worked in several serials in Jammu and Kashmir.
"I was very young when I gave dance performance and my father felt proud when the Chief Minister of our state gave me a reward of Rs. 500 and said to my father that she is the best dancer. And I started my career as a dancer and worked in several shows with cultural academy and worked in several serials in Jammu and Kashmir," she said.
Sharing her journey, she added, "I get a very good response, the people already gather outside the airport before I reach home. Relatives, who were against me earlier, say they feel happy to see me on the screen now.
