A physician's notes on Marilyn Monroe has confirmed that she underwent a cosmetic surgery.
Hollywood plastic surgeon Michael Gurdin's notes also include references to a 1950 cartilage implant in Monroe's chin, which the doctor observed to have slowly begun to dissolve, China Daily reported.
The notes, which were written by Hollywood plastic surgeon Michael Gurdin and a set of the 'Some Like It Hot' star's X rays will be up for an auction in November.
The actress's partial medical history documents are expected to fetch between 15,000-30000 dollars at the Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California.
Martin Nolan, executive director of the auction house said that it was unexpected that Monroe had plastic surgery despite of the speculations, as everyone though she was a natural beauty and didn't want to believe otherwise.
