Welsh professional golfer Jamie Donaldson has bagged the European Tour's shot of the year award for the wedge shot that helped Europe clinch the Ryder Cup.
Donaldson, whose approach to the 15th at Gleneagles secured a win in his match against Keegan Bradley and ensured Paul McGinley's side retained the trophy, said that he had claimed at the time that he had just hit the shot of his life, given the circumstances.
Donaldson claimed that he would never get tired of talking about it, adding that it was such an amazing moment, the BBC reported.
Donaldson won the award, which is voted for by the public, after receiving 32 percent of the vote.
South African Charl Schwartzel came second, thanks to his recovery shot, and France's Victor Dubuisson, another Ryder Cup player, was third with his escape from a cactus, the report added.
