A Turkish immigrant, who has been credited with inventing the 'doner kebab', has died in Berlin at the age of 80.
Kadir Nurman, who immigrated to Germany in 1960, set up a stall in West Berlin in the 70's to sell grilled meat and salad inside a flat bread, the BBC reported.
Nurman did not patent his invention or profit from its success, but he was recognised by the Association of Turkish Doner Manufacturers in 2011.
