'Downton Abbey' is near its end, but fear not dear fans, as creator Julian Fellowes has said that the show might return as a 1970s spin-off.
Speaking at the Lord Mayor's Mencap Fashion Show in London, the 65 year-old scriptwriter said that he wanted to set a new series of the hit period drama in the 1970s, showing the aristocrats struggling with hard times, the Mirror reported.
Fellowes, who also has some ideas "up his sleeve" about spin-offs for some characters, added that the new show could just center on Mr Bates and Anna.
He also said that there was a possibility of a film when the show wraps at Christmas after six series, saying "We could give it some welly... make it fantastically good.
