The British historical drama 'Downton Abbey' series is all set to return as a movie.
According to Variety, the original cast from the series will feature in the movie and the shooting will begin from September.
Directed by Brian Percival, the project will be a Carnival Films production, with Focus Features and Universal Pictures International distributing.
Featuring the actors from the original series including Michelle Dockery, Maggie Smith, and Hugh Bonnevill, the movie is written by the creator of the show, Julian Fellowes.
The official Twitter handle of 'Downton Abbey' celebrated the announcement of the movie.
The post read, "Welcome back to Downton! We're thrilled to announce that #DowntonAbbey is coming to the big screen. Film production begins this summer."
The show had six seasons and bagged around 15 Emmys Awards, 3 Golden Globes and a special BAFTA award.
