Veteran Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has called on his club to start a new season in the New Year as he predicted that the Premier League title race would go down all the way to the end.
Jose Mourinho's side led the table by nine points last month and seemed set to run away with the Premier League, but only one win in their last four away games has seen Manchester City close the gap to three points.
And the margin would have been down to one without Burnley's stunning comeback at the Etihad Stadium as Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw, the Mirror reported.
Chelsea would start the second half of the season in another London derby at Tottenham on New Year's Day.
And Drogba, a veteran of two title victories under Mourinho and again under Carlo Ancelotti, has insisted that the job of winning the first title for five years is not even half done.
Drogba said that he believes it's going to be tough, adding that even when people were saying differently a few weeks ago, they knew it was not over. He added that a few years ago he thought they were 11 or 12 points in front of Manchester United and then they won the league.
So, the Chelsea legend added that eight points or nine points, he doesn't know how many points they had on top of City, he believes it is not enough. He said that it was too early at that time of the season.

After three games in seven days, Chelsea now have a small break before visiting White Hart Lane for their clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday, the report added.
