The 'Duck Dynasty' family is thrilled about the fact that the suspension on the patriarch of the clan, Phil Robertson, has been lifted, it has been revealed.
The suspension was placed on Robertson by A 'n' E Networks owing to his controversial remarks on gays and African-Americans in a magazine interview, but now the filming of the show's next season will begin in spring.
A source told People Magazine that the family is happy that they can put this incident behind them.
The insider asserted that Robertson has never been disrespectful to anyone and treats everyone with kindness, but he made some comments off the cuff that he shouldn't have made, and he knows that.
The source insisted that Robertson's family knows his heart and knows that he wasn't trying to be hurtful.
However, the group GLAAD did not agree with the networks move to lift the ban and said in a statement that Robertson should look African-American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists.
