Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Saturday congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on its victory in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections.
"I congratulate ABVP for winning all 4 panels in DUSU elections. The students and Karyakartas of DU deserve the credit," Shah said on twitter.
The ABVP, which is affiliated to the Bharatiya Janata Party, emerged victorious in all the four seats.
Mohit Nagar was elected the DUSU president while Pravesh Malik was elected the vice-president. Kanika Shekhawat and Ashutosh Mathur have been elected as secretary and joint secretary respectively.
The result of the DUSU polls, which were dominated by issues like right to accommodation and women security among others, was announced today.
The polling for the students union in the Delhi University (DU) took place on Friday.
