A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck off the Indonesian island of Lombok on Thursday.
According to the USGS, the quake, centered at a depth of 29km, hit at a distance of 284km south of Kute, Indonesia.
The earthquake was widely felt by residents throughout the region, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
On June 8, an earthquake measuring 6.3-magnitude on the Richter scale had struck in the Molucca Sea in off northern Indonesia.
