BBC's soap 'EastEnders' grabbed eight awards at the British Soap Awards 2015 followed by 'Coronation Street' that won two.
The Adam Woodyatt and Danny Dyer starrer cleaned it up, taking home the prize for the best soap and sweeping to victory with a total of eight wins, with their live episode to celebrate their 30 anniversary scooping the award for the best single episode, the Mirror reported.
Paying tribute to show's crew, English actor Adam Woodyatt said that live week was ridiculous, it was a massive crew effort and there were 300 plus cast and crew involved.
The 46-year-old actor was named the Best Actor and Kellie Bright was awarded the Best Actress.
Actress Sally Dynevor was celebrated for best comedy performance and the much-loved star. Anne Kirkbride, whose death in January shocked the nation, was handed an outstanding achievement award which was picked up by her close friends William Roache and Beverley Callard.
