The three-member central election commission is likely to meet on Friday.
It is being speculated that the commission may discuss the scheduled date for assembly polls to be held in Delhi.
"Yes, the full commission is meeting tomorrow as it meets on every Tuesday and Friday. Of course, the EC will take stock of the preparations related to the Delhi assembly election and issues related to electoral rolls," media reports quoted a poll body official, as saying on Thursday.
The announcement for the one-day election to the 70-member assembly is likely to be made this week.
It is being speculated that elections could be held in the second or third week of February.
Delhi is the only state going to polls now, and about 100 paramilitary companies may be enough to conduct a free and fair election.
