The Election Commission on Wednesday sent a notice to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal for assembling with a crowd at Rajghat.
Television reports indicate that the EC had not given permission to Kejriwal to take more than five people with him to Rajghat.
On Tuesday, hours before the campaigning for polls was to end in Delhi, Kejriwal was slapped by autorickshaw driver Lali. Soon after, Kejriwal and his followers sat in silent prayer at Rajghat.
Repeated attacks on Kejriwal have made his supporters equate it with the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi by Nathuram Godse on January 31, 1948.
