The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has reportedly summoned Essex fast bowler Tymal Mills to Perth to help with the preparations of the touring England squad ahead of next month's first winter Ashes Test in Brisbane.
Mills forced England bowler Graeme Swann to go to hospital for X-rays after hitting the spinner on the arm during last summer's pre-Ashes warm-up against Essex at Chelmsford.
According to Metro.co.uk, the left-arm fast bowler, who will remain with the tourists until the opening Test at the Gabba, had wrote on Twitter about his imminent arrival to Australia, saying that he is excited to help out the players ahead of the winter Ashes.
Although England is concerned by the quality of the opposition they will face in next week's opening tour match against Western Australia, the ECB insisted that there is no chance that Mills would be drafted into the WA side and will be 'the equivalent of a net bowler'.
The report mentioned that Mills, however, would be used by England coach Andy Flower as a decent left-arm quick in the nets to prepare the batsmen for facing the likes of Mitchell Starc, James Faulkner and Mitchell Johnson during the Ashes.
