The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Tuesday that the iconic Eden Gardens of Kolkata will host the World Twenty20 final in April next year.
The board has announced the venues for the 16-nation men's tournament that will be played alongside the women's event across various venues in India from March 11 to April 3, Sport24 reported.
In a statement, the board said that Bangalore, Chennai, Dharamsala, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur and New Delhi would also get to host the matches.
The final schedule will, however, be announced after final consultation with the International Cricket Council (ICC).
