A research by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has named Indian cities of Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai amid the world's top five cheapest cities.
While the list is topped by the Pakistani city of Karachi, Bangalore stands second followed by Mumbai on the fourth spot and Chennai on the fifth position, reported the BBC.
The third position is occupied by the city of Caracas in Venezuela.
The EIU said that low wages and price subsidies on some staples had contributed to Indian cities' place in the survey.
