Ellen DeGeneres has said that she is hosting the Academy Awards as it's a very challenging thing to do.
The 56-year-old talk show host said that she wanted to challenge herself as she is very comfortable right now and it's not good to be comfortable as a performer, People Magazine reported.
DeGeneres said that creatively she needs to push herself, asserting that Oscars is pretty much the scariest thing one can do.
She also compared hosting the show with bungee jumping.
