Emily Blunt is in talks to star in Rupert Friend's feature directorial debut 'Barton and Charlie and Checco and Bill.'
The project, which is being co-financed by Bron Studios and Fortitude International along with Creative Wealth Media Finance, will also see Friend, who had co-starred with the 'Edge of Tomorrow' star, 31, as Prince Albert in 'The Young Victoria,' star in the movie, Deadline.com reported.
Friends also penned the script and would be producing the film alongside Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios and Margot Hand.
Fortitude's Nadine de Barros and Robert Ogden Barnum and Creative Wealth's Jason Cloth are executive producers fir the film, which would begin principal photography in spring 2015.
The story focuses on a down-on-his-luck con-artist who meets a woman who he offers to teach the tricks of his trade. She turns the tables on him and they embark on a road trip, along with a 10-year old Mexican boy, where they are pursued a Confederate newspaper mogul, Bill.
