An Emirates flight from Dubai to Male with 309 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Mumbai airport on Tuesday.
Flight EK 652 made the emergency landing after smoke was detected in cockpit.
"The ATC declared full emergency at the MIAL (Mumbai International Airport Limited) at 1359 hrs after a Boeing 777 flight of Emirates (EK 652) from Dubai to Male had to make an emergency landing following detection of smoke in the aircraft," a Mumbai airport official said on Tuesday.
The flight with 309 passengers and crew landed safely at 1458 hrs on Runway 9 of the Mumbai airport, the official said.
