England has suffered back-to-back defeats at Wembley for the first time in 36 years after they were beaten 1-0 by Germany in an international friendly on Tuesday.
A below-strength Germany followed Chile in leaving with an away win ahead of next year's FIFA World Cup in Brazil after German player Per Mertesacker's header in the 39th minute led the visitors to victory in the game.
According to the BBC, the major bonus for England manager Roy Hodgson in this latest loss was the performance of goalkeeper Joe Hart, recalled after Celtic's Fraser Forster made his debut against Chile and currently out of Manchester City's side after being replaced by Costel Pantilimon.
The report mentioned that England struggled against a Germany team missing a host of key players such as Mesut Ozil, Philipp Lahm and first-choice keeper Manuel Neuer.
England has one game left, the Wembley friendly with Denmark in March, before Hodgson names his squad for Brazil, the report added.
