The 2015 edition of the entrepreneur conference TiEConPune is scheduled to start on April 11, with an aim to motivate innovative businessmen to pitch their ideas to angel and venture capital investors.

The third edition of the conference will include a session hosted by Ronnie Screwvalla, where he shall speak on his book titled 'Dream With Your Eyes Open', that draws inspiration from his life and experiences; a session by Everstone Capital Advisors MD and head of research Roopa Purushotamman on 'Women, Leadership and Entrepreneurship', among others.

During the sessions, entrepreneurs shall also have an opportunity to pitch ideas to a panel of investors to raise equity funding at the venture capital roundtable conference. To promote local companies and their stories, there shall be a panel for Pune-based companies, which have primed themselves for the big league.

"This year, we are raising the bar: there are more elaborate speaker sessions and tracks, like 'Make in India', 'Women Entrepreneurs', 'Companies in the growth phase'," said Vishwas Mahajan, Pune TiE Chapter president.

Shailesh Gogate, who had attended the 2013 edition of TiE Pune, feels that Narayan Murthy's speech was very inspiring, adding that he was motivated to start his own firm 'Weave My Story'.

"The insights about the obstacles one faces while starting a business and how to overcome them were very useful," he said.
