The Republic of Estonia's Minister of Education and Research, Jaak Aaviksoo on Tuesday cast his vote in the national election from a New Delhi hotel, using his electronic id.
He cast the vote from the conference room of the Oberoi Hotel where he was participating in the two-day conference on cyber security and cyber governance organised by Observer Research Foundation.
Estonia has become one of the most advanced countries in the cyber society after it became the victim of a massive cyber attack in 2007.
Aaviksoo said that his country has given electronic id to each of its netizen to help secure the country from cyber attacks in future.
The Estonian Minister, who addressed the conference, earlier in the day, said the cyber space is no more a virtual domain, and added that it has got physical elements too.
He also said trust building between nations is very important to ensure cyber security of nations.
