French full-back Patrice Evra has claimed his team Manchester United cannot afford to slip up again this season and cites Carling Cup win as proof season can be turned around.
According to the Mirror, Evra has told his team-mates to show 'the Manchester United spirit' to win back the Old Trafford faithful.
United face West Ham in their first Premier League game at Old Trafford since their shock back-to-back home defeats to Everton and Newcastle, the report said.
The United fans were dismayed by the team's performances and the once-impregnable Old Trafford has already been breached three times this season, the report added.
Evra says the fans are entitled to be restless, adding the players must win them over by playing well, starting against Sam Allardyce's Hammers, the report mentioned.
He cited Wednesday's 2-0 Capital One Cup win in the hailstones at Stoke, which has set up a semi-final with Sunderland, as proof of their character, the report further said.
